Grants

The Pittwater Environmental Foundation (PEF) is committed to making every donation, gift or bequest count.

Priorities

The Foundation believes that the best long term environmental outcomes will only be achieved by funding activities which are integrated with the bigger natural resource management (NRM) picture for the area.

PEF has worked closely with Pittwater Council and other stakeholders to identify and prioritise environmental issues suitable for funding. View the current list of PEF's priorities. The Foundation welcomes further community input and will evaluate and revise this list on an annual basis.

How We Work

PEF will greenlight projects which satisfy the funding criteria and are considered to be the most effective use of current Fund monies. The PEF role is that of decision-making, oversight and review. All projects will be undertaken by outside organisations, groups or individuals following a successful submission process.

PEF will not fund activities which form part of the core environmental business of Pittwater Council. However all proposals should be consistent with Council’s Environmental Plan and may propose work which integrates and enhances Council projects.
